My 16 week running plan.

This is the running plan I am going to use for my first 16 weeks of training, the goal is to be able to run for 30 minutes straight at the end of the 16 weeks.  I am not calculating my distance the first 16 weeks only time.

The plan is from Runnersworld.com for an 8 week program that I made into a 16 week program.  The original plan can be found at this link:   http://www.runnersworld.com/getting-started/the-8-week-beginners-program

Beginner guidelines for doing a chinup

Here is a great article from Fitstep.com on how to begin doing chin-ups:

http://www.fitstep.com/Misc/Newsletter-archives/issue69/how-to-do-your-first-chin-up.htm

I am going to follow these guidelines and will track my progress on the blog.

The following are my goals to be reached at the end of each month:

March     - 5 Chin-ups
April      - 10 Chin-ups
May       - 15 Chin-ups
June       - 20 Chin-ups
July        - 25 Chin-ups
August   - 30 Chin-ups

Tough Mudderfukka

Hello,

It's been a long time since I blogged because I've been life-ing.  You know...working hard, enjoying relaxing days, creative nights,  hanging with my family and my animals, educating myself, exploring the world through the Internet since I can't travel much yet because of school,  making as many people laugh a day as I can, continually expanding my consciousness and awareness, battling my inner destructive tendencies...the usual estroJen geek ish.

I decided to take the Tough Mudder challenge (for those that don't know it's a 13 mile obstacle mud run course thingy)  https://toughmudder.com/  is the link if you want to check it out.  6 months from February 28th is the day and I am super excited.

My super focused training will begin on Saturday, February 28th.  I've decided to blog about my journey, I have never had a focused training schedule but am looking forward to pushing myself and seeing what I can do with a disciplined mind and conscious plan. Since this is like a diary I will log in everything on a daily basis during these 6 months...the good and the bad.  It's not going to be easy but it will be worth it.  I hope that I can help and educate some people along the way on incorporating healthier living into their lives.  All my workouts will be posted and I will try to take as many pictures as I can so you can see the progress through the process.

There are times to relax and there are times to push yourself and get out of your comfort zone.  I am really excited about this.   A few of my goals to be reached  within the next 6 months are listed below:

- Run 3 miles straight (I can only run like a quarter mile right now)
- Do 30 chin ups (I can do one now)
- Do 70 push ups in a row (I can do  25 right now)
- Lose 15lbs fat pounds (Currently 135lbs)
- Increase my jump height through plyometric training (I surprised myself at how high I can jump right now but am motivated to increase that by at least 10 inches)

I have my eating schedule set up for the next 6 months and will post them later. My workouts will also be posted as well as training tips and things that I learn along the way. I will also explain how I plan to reach each of my goals.

If you have any questions on anything I do, suggestions and/or tips...comment below or email me at estrojen30@gmail.com

light and love,
